Hackney Chinese Community Services is recruiting a Welcome Hongkongers Advice

and Community Development Worker.

This post will primarily, but not exclusively, serve Hongkongers with British National

(Overseas) status.

This is a part time post working four days a week on a fixed term contract until 30 June

2022.

This project aims to provide a direct advice service to Hongkongers to empower

them with knowledge of the UK system, their rights and options in making choices or

accessing services, empower Hongkongers to become confident with the British

system and culture, laying the foundation for their interaction with the local

community and wider society in the areas in which they settle in. This project aims to:

  • promote mutual understanding and respect;

  • promote involvement in affairs affecting them locally and nationally;

  • enabling Hongkongers to become part of British society contributing socially, economically, politically in all walks of British life.

Salary: £38,000 FTE per annum, dependant on skills and experience

Base: London, United Kingdom
