Q&A Session on Zao An Cafe and Centre's Management Issues

In recent weeks, posts shared on Zao An Café’s Instagram account have led to some confusion among members, collaborators, funders, regulators, visitors, and the wider community. In light of this, we recognise the need to provide clarity and respond to the concerns raised. We invite members of the ESEA Community Centre and other stakeholders to attend a Q&A session on 23 June 2025, from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Centre.

This session will provide space for open discussion and clarification on the following topics:

  1. The closure of Zao An Cafe

  2. Financial matters related to reported losses

  3. Recent allegations concerning senior management circulating on social media

  4. Other matters of concern to stakeholders

The session will be attended by members of the HCCS Board of Trustees and Centre management.

To attend, please register by emailing info@hackneychinese.org.uk, including your name and membership number (if available).

If you are unable to attend in person, you may submit your questions in advance to the same email by 9:00 AM on 23 June 2025. Your question will be read aloud during the session and responded to, and a written reply will be sent to you via email.

Venue:

Hackney Chinese Community Services

12–14 Englefield Road

London N1 4LS

We encourage all who have questions or concerns to take part in this conversation.
