Q&A Session Follow up - Thank you.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the  Q&A session today, on June 23, 2025, 3-5pm, both in person and online.  Approximately 10 attended in person and 50 attended online.

 

The engagement from our community members, stakeholders, and partners demonstrates the strong interest in our centre's future.

Special thanks to our attendees from Independent Age and Hackney Council Voluntary Sector, as well as our Board members and staff who contributed to the transparent discussion. We particularly appreciate the constructive dialogue regarding the future of our front-of-house space.

Key Outcomes from the Session:

  • We reaffirmed our founding vision of using food as a medium to connect communities and build meaningful conversations

  • We clarified our governance procedures and decision-making processes

  • We received valuable input regarding future possibilities for our front-of-house space

Moving Forward:
We welcome proposals for utilizing our front-of-house space in ways that align with our mission to create a warm and welcoming community hub. While we must make financially responsible decisions, we are eager to hear innovative ideas that can help us achieve our community-building objectives.

To those who stayed behind to offer their expertise and support, particularly our Indonesian café operators, we deeply appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge and continue collaborating with us.
