Management Committee Meeting Minutes - 27 August 2024

 

Key Updates and Decisions:

1. The Management Committee held its regular meeting with the majority of directors present in person and via video conference.

2. The Committee approved the meeting schedule for 2024-2025, with meetings to be held approximately every two months from July 2024 through July 2025.

3. The Board reviewed and endorsed new financial reporting formats to enhance transparency and oversight. A Finance Sub-committee will be established to further strengthen financial governance.

4. Directors discussed the organization's Vision, Mission and Values statements. These will be refined based on feedback to ensure they reflect ESEACC's commitment to serving East and Southeast Asian communities.

5. The Centre will be relocating to the Old Bath House premises. To facilitate the move, the current premises will be closed from 27 August to 16 September 2024. Normal services will resume at the new location after this period.

6. The Board confirmed English as the working language for meetings to reflect and support the diversity within East and Southeast Asian communities.

7. Directors reviewed governance practices including meeting attendance requirements, confidentiality protocols, and information management systems.
